Is the financial industry missing out on the female money?

A lack of advertising directed to women was in the news for a few times in recent months. But how about in the financial sector?

On average, women will have a lower pension fund than men and therefore may not be the priority in advertising. Furthermore, they don't see themselves as financially savvy as men do. Nevertheless, combined there is a huge portfolio of about £130bn to be won in the UK alone.

Financial institutions may have a chance to stand out of the crowd if they targeted a female audience who resonate differently to financial advertising than men. Especially as most marketing departments employ women, it should be an easy one to create relevant messages for this sector.
